The Powerful Maiden Fair |
Not so long ago there was a young maiden who lived in a Kingdom. One day, while the maiden was in the market, she spied a brave, virtuous, and noble knight - who was not too difficult to look upon.
The maiden’s heart fluttered and she determined to learn more of this brave, virtuous, and noble knight - who was not too difficult to look upon.
Upon inquiry she learned that this knight was not always a knight but rather a simple man of no great reputation until one day he had spied a maiden fair and his heart was touched, and his courage was spurred, as he felt for the first time that he accomplish or overcome anything in a quest to please the maiden fair and win the adoration of she that was most brave, virtuous, noble and not too difficult to look upon.
Our young maiden swooned as she learned of his deeds: with the hope that the maiden fair might adore him, drawn by her virtue, and inspired by her praise he had climbed the highest mountains, forded the swiftest streams, entered the lofty towers, he scaled the tallest walls, he fought and triumphant over dragons and mythical beasts, he had faced great armies, and bravely defended the Kingdom.
Soon, the simple man’s true heart, brave arms, and steeled sword were known far and near in the Kingdom. Inspired by the maiden’s faith the simple man’s heart had become so pure, brave, and true that soon he was visited by the Prince of Peace, Lord of Lords, and Heir of The King. The Prince of Peace then invited the man to join him at his table, set him apart as a knight in the Kingdom, and promised him a share in all that he had.
The young maiden thrilled at the story until she heard the words that the Knight was in the market preparing for to wed the maiden fair.
Having a soft heart, our young maiden bid best wishes to the couple grateful for the gift they had unknowingly given for she now knew what she really wanted... She wanted to inspire a knight who was brave, virtuous, and noble, she wanted to share eternity with a knight who sat at the table with the Prince of Peace and who shared in the Kingdom.
The young maiden, also inspired by the maiden fair, vowed a vow to become more brave, more virtuous, and more noble that she too might someday attract her knight true.
The young maiden practiced and learned to inspire bravery, she mastered the graceful art of attracting virtue, and she attended the throne of the Prince of Peace frequently that she might know true nobility.
The season changed and the young maiden blossomed. As she grew in wisdom the young maiden discovered that while common men were more prone to cowardice, laziness, and self-indulgence that still, a maiden fair could stir, arouse, inspire, and attract the bravest feelings, the most virtuous thoughts, and the most noble traits from even the most common of men.
She became wise learning her destiny to become a maiden fair for if she did not, who would turn the hearts of men to the Prince?
One day while in the presence of the Prince of Peace she asked, "Oh Lord, where is my Brave, Virtuous, and Noble Knight?" The kindly prince in all love and patience replied... "My child, brave, virtuous, and noble knights are not to be found in my Kingdom... No, never has a maiden fair found a knight, not one... No, knights are not found in my kingdom... but you, my child, can make one."
