How Big Is Google Anyway?

Most of us know that front page top ranking on Google is the big prize. But just how big is it anyway?

According to Comsource, a leading internet data provider, for the US in the month of December, 2007, "Google Sites remained the top search property with 5.6 billion core searches... representing a 58.4 percent share of the search market... Yahoo! Sites ranked second with 22.9 percent, followed by Microsoft Sites (9.8 percent), Time Warner Network (4.6 percent), and Ask Network (4.3 percent)."

By comparison then, US Google is 2.43 times bigger than Yahoo, 11 times bigger than eBay, 26 times bigger than Amazon, and 18 times bigger than the whole US Population! And yes, Bigger IS Better.

What does all this mean to you and your internet marketing?
